Can you name this well-known color pattern?

A calico, or tri-color, is a tortoiseshell cat with patches of white. The amount of white can vary, but the more white on the cat, the more defined the patches of orange and black. As with tortoiseshell, because of the genetics behind this coloration, most calico cats are females.

This means that the cat’s hairs are dark (usually black) at the tips but have much lighter colored bands near the bottom.
