I knew that Brad and Angelina launched their own wine brand earlier this year, and their Château Miraval Côtes de Provence Rosé was fairly well received in the wine world. I wasn’t aware that celebrity wines were a trend, though. I didn’t know Sting, Drew Barrymore, Dave Matthews, Fergie, and Andrea Bocelli all had their own wines. In a blind taste test by wine drinkers, wines by all of these celebrities received mixed reviews. Watch and find out whose wine tasted like “evil” to one wine drinker.

What I draw from this video is that celebrity wines are just like any other wines. Everyone has a different palate, and what appeals to one person may not appeal to the next.

I haven’t tried any of the wines mentioned in the video except the Francis Ford Coppola wines, and I didn’t think his wines belonged in a taste test of newer, trendy celebrity wines. He’s been making wine for a very long time and while he is a celebrity, his wines certainly aren't part of a celebrity wine trend.

Something about the Dave Matthews Dreaming Tree Wines caught my attention in the video. I think I’m going to have to track some down and do a taste test of his wines myself.

Have you had any celebrity wines? What did you think?

Are celebrity wines any good?
