I’m in New York City today and Tuesday attending the 2014 James Beard Food Foundation Conference. This year’s theme is Health & Food: Is Better Food the Prescription for a Healthier America?

The conference will take a look at the health impacts of the modern American diet. During the two-day conference, there will be presentations and conversations from dozens of the nation’s leading food and health experts including Food Politics’ Marion Nestle, NYT food writer and cookbook author Mark Bittman, “The Omnivore’s Dilemma” author Michael Pollan, White House Policy Advisor Sam Kass, and “Fed Up” producer Laurie David.

You can watch the entire conference via Live Stream, and I’ll be tweeting about the conference both days. Follow my Twitter stream (@rshreeves) to keep up with my tweets or follow the hashtag #JBCONF2014 to follow what’s going on with the conference on all forms of social media.
