The Green Kitchen has been around since 2008, but for some reason I just ran across it a few days ago. In this video series Alice Waters brings together some of her favorite chefs and cookbook authors to show us some of the basics of preparing fresh, local ingredients that have been sustainably grown and harvested the Slow Food way.

In this first episode of the video series, Alice Waters and her daughter Fanny Singer, prepare a green salad with garlic vinaigrette.

Other videos in the series feature chefs like David Chang, owner and chef of New York’s Momofuku, making a tomato and tofu salad and Thomas Keller, owner and chef of French Laundry, cooking roasted chicken. There are 17 videos in all.
