Did you ever wonder what the American ethnic food section of a grocery store would look like in another country? What foods represent our diets to other cultures? Simone Haruko Smith, is a trend spotter. While in Germany, she took this video of the American ethnic section at a large German grocery store. I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry at this very interesting snapshot of our culture.

Considering the fact that a section like this couldn’t carry fresh food from the U.S., what do you think could be on these shelves to better represent the food here in America?

Thanks to Washington City Paper for bringing this video to my attention.
