January 1st is just two days away. You know what that means, right? Resolutions. It’s time to make them, it’s time to share them, and it’s time to maybe even keep them this year.

Do you want to make some resolutions that might actually do some good this year? Would you like those resolutions to be easy to keep? For the next three days, I’m going to suggest an easy New Year’s resolution that you might just choose to add to your list.

My first suggestion:

Buy inexpensive reusable grocery bags, enough for when you do a full shopping trip, and use them.

When I say inexpensive, I mean inexpensive. Many grocery stores now offer bags for about $1 that they sell at the front of most check out isles. For under $10, the average family can have enough reusable bags to haul all their groceries.

Sure, you can spend more on attractive bags, but honestly, they are just carrying your groceries. They don’t have to be cool or attractive. They just need to be reusable.

Why will this do good? It’s estimated that each reusable grocery bag has the potential to save about 700 plastic or paper bags from being used over its lifetime.

Why is this easy to keep? If you put your bags back in your car after you unpack your groceries, they will always be there when you need them.

Come back tomorrow for another do good, easy New Year’s resolution suggestion.
