I’m having a lot of trouble keeping up with all of the food movies that are being produced. I just learned about one today that's now on my list of "must-sees." What’s on Your Plate? follows New York City girls Sadie and Safiyah as they “talk to each other, food activists, farmers, new friends, storekeepers, their families, and the viewer, in their quest to understand what’s on all of our plates.”
The film is currently being screened throughout the country, and there is an interactive map to help you find a screening near you. If there is no screening near you, there’s a link that allows you to request to host a screening. It looks as if communities and schools can host screenings
Take a look at the trailer. You’re going to like these girls and admire their mission.
