Take a look at this video that the White House released today introducing the new MyPlate icon. I told you earlier this week that food pyramid would be dumped for this easier to understand, common sense icon. In addition to the icon, ChooseMyPlate.gov was launched today with tips for choosing better foods. I've got some poking around to do, but at first glance, this is a vast improvement over past eating guidelines issued by the government.
