Eat Drink Better pointed me to a scripted show that follows the culinary adventures of four young teens as they cook, sing and dance. It kind of follows the iCarly format – young teens with all of the technical tools and skills to create a web based TV show hang out with each other, do goofy things, have one geeky/cool, mostly responsible adult to help them out when they need it, and create the online show KickinKitchen.TV.

Take a look at the promo for the show.

Each episode has the kids cooking real, healthy foods in the kitchen and talking about nutrition, eating a balance of food, and even organics. It looks as if the series used to air on NYCTV Life channel, but I don’t see it on the schedule right now. It can still be seen on the computer or smartphone, however, which is where more and more kids are watching their TV these days anyway.

KickinKitchen.TV is created by KidsCOOK Productions. They also create a interactive curriculum that teaches children and their families about cooking, nutrition, science, physical fitness and health.

Robin Shreeves ( @rshreeves ) focuses on food from a family perspective from her home base in New Jersey.
