Kim Kardashian has a warning for anyone not interested in packing on the pounds while visiting New York City: Stay away from the "street meat."

The 30-year-old actress/socialite recently admitted that while filming her new "Kourtney & Kim Take New York" series, she added 10 pounds to her frame, thanks to junk food.

"I worked out once," Kardashian told Harper's Bazaar magazine. "I ate the nuts on the street corner, the hot dogs, the street meat. It was not a joke."

Now that she's back in Beverly Hills, Kardashian says she's back to being healthy. "I'm on a diet," she told the magazine. "I need to be. I love to eat — Kit Kats or cookies-and-cream ice cream. I need sugar like five times a day."

Obviously, eating fast food of any kind is a quick road to weight gain and health problems. If you're on the go in NYC, try and pick a vendor who specializes in grub with fresh vegetables and light dressings. Or just sample the "street meat" as part of the city's wide range of delicious (and healthy) cuisine choices.
