Michelle Obama (or my BFF, as my 12-year-old now defines my relationship with the first lady after my trip to the White House for the Let’s Move Tweetup a couple of weeks ago) has been taking questions through the Let’s Move Twitter account. She’s been answering the questions through short videos on the Let’s Move blog.

Two Twitter users asked her what inspired her to focus on anti-obesity. Here’s her response:

I like knowing that Michelle Obama wants the best for her kids, for my kids, and for all the kids in the nation. I’m inspired by the fact that the obstacles that the first lady has to overcome with her family are the same ones that I’ve been working on with my family — healthy snacking, eating meals together, making good decisions about food and activity.

To see all of the video answers to questions that the White House has posted so far, go to the Let’s Move blog. You’ll find answers to other questions like what’s on the first lady’s workout music playlist.
