While President Obama joined N.J. Gov. Chris Christie yesterday to let the world know the Jersey Shore is back in business, Students from two N.J. schools affected by last fall’s devastating Hurricane Sandy helped Michelle Obama harvest radishes and greens in the White House kitchen garden.

I’m glad to see some students from my home state included in one of the first lady’s garden harvests. I’m sure they had an experience they will never forget, and I hope they go back to their classmates and talk about gardening and eating healthy in an enthusastic way.
