If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll know where I was yesterday. I was at the White House, getting an up-close look at Michelle Obama’s kitchen garden, the White House kitchen, and the Let’s Move program. I was one of the fortunate 17 people chosen out of hundreds to attend the Let’s Move Tweetup and be special guests at the fall harvest.

I have 195 photos to go through and edit and my thoughts to collect. While I’m doing that, I thought you might like to see part of what I saw. The first lady spent some time in the kitchen garden with schoolchildren from Bancroft and Tubman Elementary Schools in Washington, D.C. They helped her and her staff harvest vegetables that will be served at a state dinner.

If you notice, right about 50 seconds into the video, Michelle Obama directly addresses me (and 16 other people). That “Whoooo” you hear in the background, that’s me (and 16 other people).

The fall White House garden harvest
Some very lucky guests attended this year's fall harvest with first lady Michelle Obama.
