Thought I’d share this Jest video with you. It made me laugh.

I found this video pretty funny, and here’s why. Last week at about 12:30 at night, my husband and I both had an incredible craving for burgers. We were watching an older episode of “How I Met Your Mother,” and the characters were running around New York City trying to find the place that had served one of them the best burger ever eight years ago.

As the characters ate one burger after another, we could swear there was a burger smell coming through the television. We were both suddenly starving and needed burgers. Sadly, I didn’t have what we needed to make them at home. There was no decent place open that we could buy burgers at.

There was, however, a McDonalds about a mile down the street. We alluded to it, but neither of us came right out and the actual name of the fast food joint, such was our shame for even thinking it. I’d already thrown away perfectly good cookies earlier in the week, and to add this to my list of eco-friendly foodie sins might have been more than I could bear.

Eventually, we opted for a couple of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and promised each other we’d go out for lunch the next day for good burgers. But for a few minutes there, I was seriously considering a covert trip through the drive-thru. I would have totally been wearing the shame mask.

Would you like a side of fries and a shame mask with that burger?
