Between Real Simple Take Back Dinnertime Challenge and various other pieces I’ve written, I’ve been focusing a lot on the topic of family dinner lately. On Monday, I’ll be telling you about a new project I’m part of that’s bringing bloggers together to promote the importance of family dinner. It seems the family dinner revolution is growing, and that’s just wonderful. For this weekend’s reads, I’m going to point you to even more about this important family ritual.

  • ABC News did a report last night on Family Dinners Matter for Kids. You can watch the video that includes reasons why dinner is important and tips on making it easy.
  • Making it easy often means making it work for your specific family. Parenting Squad offers 7 Simple Ways to Make Family Dinners Work for You.
  • Foodily is in the middle of having an Eat At Home Revolution. They’ve created an Eat At Home Manifesto. I love the first point on the manifesto: Food is better shared with friends.
  • has the story of a family that is taking part in The Family Dinner Project, a collaboration between several Harvard University researchers and a pilot group of 15 families.

Enjoy your weekend and make family dinner a priority at least one night!
