Want expensive coffee made with the help of one animal's digestive system? Then you're in luck. Kopi luwak is made from the beans of coffee berries eaten by the Asian palm civet, which looks like a cross between a cat and a ferret. The civet’s digestive tract works on the beans, which the civet then defecates. It is considered one of the most expensive coffees in the world and, as the New York Times reports, can sell for as much as $227 a pound.
