Ultimate Tea Diet

Mark Ukra, one of the world’s foremost tea experts, created the Ultimate Tea Diet. He claims that tea encourages detoxification and weight loss because it contains three specific ingredients: caffeine, L-theanine and EGCG. Caffeine acts as a stimulant, L-theanine neutralizes caffeine’s harmful effects and acts as an appetite suppressant, and EGCG increases fat-burning efficiency.

Dieters are allowed to drink green tea, black tea, white tea or oolong tea and can consume as much of it as they want — hot or iced. Unlike many other detox diets, this program allows you to eat three solid meals a day as long as they include a specific balance of protein, carbohydrates and fat, but detoxers are advised to use an 8-inch plate to maintain portion control.

Who’s used it? E! News anchor Giuliana Rancic went on the diet before her 2007 wedding and says she lost seven pounds.
