Ginger-Cantaloupe Fruit Pop

Still hot? Homemade fruit pops are the MacGyver of frozen snacks, made with basic kitchen tools in a rainbow of flavors. You're limited only by your imagination and creativity. Need a mold? Use paper cups. Lack paper cups? Experiment with ice cube trays. Try any combination of blended fruit with a kaleidoscope of ingredients that complement each other. As a bonus, the chef can make smoothies with surplus ingredients.

Ginger-Cantaloupe Fruit Pop

Prep time: 20 minutes

Total time: Allow up to 6 hours for freezing


Serves 6


  • 8 ounces fresh cantaloupe, seeded, peeled, and diced
  • 8 ounces fresh papaya, seeded, peeled and diced
  • 12 ounces almond milk
  • 1 ounce ginger root, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar


  1. Combine all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Pour mixture into mold. Before freezing tap sides of mold with fingers to remove air bubbles. Add popsicle sticks.
  3. Run under warm water for about 15 seconds. Let stand for about 5 minutes. Remove from mold.
