Banana Strawberry Smoothie

Indulge yourself with a blended fruit smoothie. It’s like having your cake and eating it too. And no the first ingredient isn't a seed, but the addition gives it a nutritious boost.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Total time: 2 hours, plus for refrigeration

Yield: 4 cups

Banana Strawberry Smoothie


  • 2 bananas, peeled and chopped
  • 2 cups strawberries, stemmed
  • 3 cups unsweetened almond milk, or milk
  • 1 tbs. ground flax seed
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  1. Prep bananas and strawberries, place in freezer until solid.
  2. Combine all the ingredients — bananas, strawberries, milk, flax seed and vanilla extract — in blender. Process ingredients in blender until smooth, about 30 seconds.
