Brussels Sprouts Kebabs

This Alton Brown-inspired recipe confirms that sprouts taste even better grilled.

Prep time: 20 minutes

Total time: 30 minutes

Yield: Serves 4

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
Cooking directions
  1. Combine olive oil, garlic, paprika, salt and black pepper in bowl. Set aside.
  2. Rinse and remove woody stems from sprouts. Place in ceramic bowl and cover with water. Microwave on high for 3 minutes. Allow sprouts to cool until water is lukewarm.
  3. Thread sprouts on skewers with stem ends facing in same direction. Use even-sized sprouts to ensure consistent cook times. Brush with olive oil and garlic mixture. Cook sprouts on grill 5 minutes on each side, or until lightly charred.
