Finally a summit is being held to document the latest findings on the Gulf oil spill — how it's impacting human health and the environment, what can be done to stop it, and long-term solutions for energy independence.

TEDx is putting on the all-day summit today in Washington, D.C., and they are bringing together an all-star cast of luminaries including Sylvia Earle, Philippe Couateau, Amory Lovins of RMI, Jigar Shah of the Carbon War Room, Casey Roberts of the Gulf Restoration Network, and Leroy Stick, the wiseguy behind the satirical Twitter feed @BPGlobalPR, and many more.
