There's something to be said for dreaming big. For decades, inventors of all stripes have thought up ways to develop the perfect vehicle. Flying cars, fusion-powered cars, amphibious cars, solar cars and more. What all of these dreams have in common is a fresh approach to mobility, some of which are more reasonable than others. (Oh, and don't forget jet packs.)

From a new teaser video posted by BMW, the automaker has collected some of the more interesting stories into a series of four films called "Wherever You Want to Go." BMW will release the first of the four films on Feb. 1, with the next following each week thereafter.

I'll delve into how BMW's movies tie into our ongoing dream of fantastical future transportation in my next post. Until then, enjoy the trailer.
