In 2009 Benjamin Jenks quit his job and spent the next year hitchhiking across the United States from LA to Maine. In the end he racked up 14,000 miles of travel and met thousands of people. He took over 3,000 photographs of 930 people and produced this awesome time lapse journey across America.

In his trip across the country Jenks only had to spend money to get a hotel room on one night and spent a total of $40 in lodging over the year+ journey. He made hundreds of new friends and walked away with an amazing story and trove of new experiences. You can read more about his trip and the things he learned at his site Adventure Sauce.
