The Chevy Express and GMC Savana cargo vans also earned a Green Score of 20. The 6.0L 8-cylinder version of these two vans average 10 mpg in the city and 16 on the highway. Unfortunately, these cargo vans probably put in more city miles than highway miles, belching out toxic tailpipe emissions as they go. The good news is there are eco-friendlier alternatives, including the Ford Transit Connect Electric Cargo Van.
