Providence, the capital of Rhode Island, ranks third on the list with a score of 80.48. It scores worse than average across all three measures: pollen count, number of medications used, and ratio of allergists to patients in the area.

This city is listed as the worst spot for allergy sufferers in New England, where a mild winter can make allergy season particularly rough.
