The diversification of the 50 Cent brand continues, with the rapper-turned-entrepreneur announcing that he will be releasing a new total body makeover program in January 2013.

"Formula 50: A 6-Week Total Body Transformation Plan" will be co-written by the 36-year-old and editor Jeff O'Connell. According to the release, the book's audience will be anyone looking to lose weight and gain muscle, with emphasis on a technique called Metabolic Resistance Training.

"The key ingredient is metabolic resistance training (MRT), which breaks down the barriers between traditional weight training and cardio. MRT accelerates fat loss while also building muscle and improving overall fitness. The book also offers a nutrition component and helps readers develop the mental toughness and motivation to stick with the plan.”

Earlier this August, 50 (whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III), announced a plan to feed 1 billion people in Africa over the next five years. "I want to impact peoples lives more," he tweeted.

In September, in partnership with the firm Pure Growth Partners, the rapper created an energy shot called Street King. For every energy shot sold, a meal is provided to a hungry child. To date, more than 3.5 million meals have been served.

"It's our mission with Street King to really change children's lives around the world," he said.
