Take some time and watch Skateistan, a short documentary about skateboarders living in Kabul, Afghanistan. Skateboarding and Afghanistan are a beautiful incongruity that the filmmakers were able to masterfully construct into this tight nine-minute+ piece.

The kids in the film skate at Skateistan, the country's first co-ed skateboarding school. The kids learn not only how to skateboard but also receive schooling in the arts, languages, civic responsibility, and technology.

I love this video of kids skating in a bombed out building.
