Since embarking on a weight loss program seven months ago, Mariah Carey has lost an impressive 70 pounds. The pop singer was determined to regain the body she had before becoming pregnant with twins — and she says focus was key.
"Losing weight is about eating what you like, just in the appropriate portion sizes,” she told US Weekly. “I wouldn't say it was really hard, but it required focus and determination.”
A newly named ambassador for the Jenny Craig program, Carey says she stayed healthy by following a 1,500 calorie/day diet, exercising several days a week and eating healthy foods. “I feel incredible, but it was a long road,” she said.
