Swimming in sync
Members of Great Britain's synchronised swimming team strike an underwater pose on May 8 at the Garrison Sports Centre in Aldershot, England. The team is counting down the days to the Summer Olympics, where they will compete along with other top swimmers from around the world.

Formerly known as water ballet, synchronized swimming (or synchro, as it's also known) is a strenuous water sport that requires the strength, flexibility, rhythm — not to mention the ability to hold your breath for minutes at a time.
