Charitable stormtrooper Jacob French, member of the 501st Legion: Vader's Fist, places his helmet on young patient Zak Brankstone on April 4 as fellow patient Helena Kantarelis looks on at the Sydney Children's Hospital in Australia.
French raised more than $100,000 for the Starlight Children's Foundation, a organization that provides programs to help lift the spirits of sick children in hospitals across the world, after completing a more than 5,000-kilometer trek (about 3,100 miles) from Perth to Sydney in his stormtrooper uniform.
Reaching the finish line
French is welcomed by children, parents and hospital staff at the finish line inside the Sydney Children's Hospital on April 4, when he completed his epic trek to Sydney.
Since July 2011, French walked 10 hours a day, losing 26 pounds of body weight and wearing through seven pairs of shoes in the process.
