Scott Hamilton

Scott Hamilton broke onto the ice skating scene in the early '80s and wowed audiences with his signature back flip (which didn’t earn him any extra points but was a surefire crowd-pleaser). Hamilton was the 1984 Olympic men’s figure skating champion and is founder of the Scott Hamilton CARES Initiative. Hamilton, a testicular cancer survivor, created CARES in conjunction with the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute (where he was treated) in 1999 to promote awareness of cancer and to raise funds for research.
