The Grumpy Cat media blitz we've been talking about since last year is finally making its way to the Lifetime Network in the form of a new Christmas movie. Appropriately titled "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever," the film will focus on a perpetually overlooked pet-store cat and the 12-year-old girl that can somehow commmunicate with her.

"It brings fun and irreverence that we haven't had at Lifetime," vp of original movies at Lifetime Arturo Interian told The Hollywood Reporter. "We're so known for our heartfelt sentimentality that it will poke fun at those stereotypes."

As we reported last year, Grumpy Cat (real name: Tardar Sauce) scored a number of deals - from movies to books to even a branded coffee drink - after rocketing to fame as a hugely popular Internet meme. Despite her sour (yet hilarious) appearance, she's actually healthy cat - born a mix of calico, Siamese and tabby. Recent media appearances have included the 2014 MTV Music Awards, The Playboy Morning Show, and even the latest season of "American Idol." Grump Cat even has her own IMDB page.

According to Interian, "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever" will be a mix of "a little Home Alone and a little Die Hard," and even feature some other famous Internet memes. Hello Lil Bub?

Casting for the voice of Grumpy Cat (I'm assuming Bill Murray will pass) is expected to be completed shortly, with a shoot date for later this summer.
