The world of entertainment exclaimed a collective "Who?" yesterday after news reports broke of the arrest of actress Shannon Richardson in connection with recent ricin-laced letters sent to President Barack Obama, New York City Major Michael Bloomberg and gun-control advocate Mark Glaze. The 35-year-old mother of five is being charged with mailing a threatening communication to the president, a federal offense that carries up to 10 years in prison.

Richardson (also known as Shannon Guess) has had bit parts in shows such as "The Walking Dead" and "Vampire Diaries" — but with the way the media phrased headlines yesterday, the more immediate reaction was confusion that some series' regular was behind the attacks. Even executive producers for the shows were stumped.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Richardson played a non-speaking zombie in the first two episodes of season one of "The Walking Dead." Her full actress resume is available here.
