According to multiple reports, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their six children will be renting a farm in Costa Rica to celebrate the holidays — with possible plans to move there permanently.
“Brad has found a sprawling farm that he reckons will be the perfect place for the family to get away from everything for a while,” a source told the gossip site Showbiz Spy. “He loves the country and is considering buying some Costa Rican property so they can spend some time there when life gets less hectic for them.”
While such gossip can be thin on truth, that the Pitt-Jolie clan would choose to travel during the holidays is certainly not surprising. Last year, the famous family traveled to Namibia and spent Christmas and New Year's at the Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary in Namibia. Before leaving, they generously donated $2 million to the organization in honor of their daughter, Shiloh, who was born in the country in 2006.
“We want her to be very involved and grow up with the understanding of her country of birth,” Angelina said in a statement. “We have known Rudie and Marlice [van Vuuren, who started the sanctuary]for many years and continue to be impressed by their hard work and dedication to the people and conservation of the land and wildlife of Namibia.”
In terms of cash, we know that Brad and Angelina have plenty of it to scoop up whatever type of property they might desire in Costa Rica. In fact, as of last week, they may have millions more to spend. Some sites are saying that Pitt's Malibu home, which has been on the market for nearly $14 million, may have finally sold. The rumored buyer? None other than comedian Ellen DeGeneres.
