How much would you pay for some of Justin Bieber's hair?

Ellen DeGeneres was thinking the same thing, but all she had to do was tweet last week that she was interested in one of the pop singer's recently shed locks — and voila, it was hers.

Bieber, 16, appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Feb. 23 and presented the 53-year-old star with the gift saying, “That’s my hair. I’m giving pieces of it to different people. We’re doing something special. We want you to donate it to whatever charity you want to.”

DeGeneres setup an eBay auction and chose The Gentle Barn to receive the winnings, a charity located in California that saves farm animals in desperate need of a new home. “It’s an amazing sanctuary where abused and neglected animals get a second chance at life,” said DeGeneres on her show.

Bieber added that he plans to approach other stars to auction off his hair to raise cash for as many different charities as possible.

The eBay auction for one lock of Justin’s hair ends March 2. (And to answer that first question, you'll currently need just north of $10,000 to participate. Good luck.)
