Planet Green gave fans of "The Fabulous Beekman Boys" a nice gift this year with a one-hour holiday special featuring Brent Ridge, Josh Kilmer-Purcell, Farmer John, and (of course) the goats — but all it really did was make us even more eager for season two.

Thankfully, we don't have long to wait with the premiere hitting in March. Through various online interviews, I've even got an inkling as to what drama we can expect from the fab farmer duo.

Obviously, Brent's new lifestyle brand "Beekman 1802" is continuing to grow; thanks in part to the generous free advertising it receives on the hit series and his own marketing acumen. Startups, however, don't pay the bills well — which is one of the main reasons why Josh continues to hold down a full-time advertising art director position in the city.

"We called our first season [of 'FBB'] 'our year of sacrifice,' because it was the first time in our 11-year relationship that Josh and I weren’t always together," Brent told the site Advocate. "But Josh is still working in the city to pay the mortgage on the farm."

According to public records, Josh and Brent bought the Beekman Farm in 2007 for $950,000. While there's no telling how much they put down, working with the standard 20 percent, that's a mortgage of over $750,000. This season, however, Brent is trying to change all that.

"We call season 2 “our million-dollar challenge,” he continued. "I told Josh that if we can reach a million dollars in revenue over the year, that would be the cutoff point where he could quit his job and we could still cover our expenses on the farm. That’s what you’ll see us working toward. We’re filming season two through March 1, so we still don’t know if we’re going to make it."

Something tells me Beekman 1802 is going to continue to grow just as fast as the ratings for this reality series. Having a popular television show in your back pocket certainly helps. So for those who want more Josh, bet on season three bringing these two back together full time. No doubt, Brent's got a chore list already dreamed up for him.
