For those losing sleep wondering if Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr will ever become engaged, rest easy my friends.

A rep for Bloom confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that the two are engaged — with a wedding on the horizon sometime soon. Kerr, a Victoria's Secret model, started dating the actor back in 2007. They've been rather tight-lipped about their relationship ever since.

But we do know that they share a love of the environment — with Kerr an ardent supporter of anti-whaling initiatives; as well as appearing nude on the cover of Rolling Stone's annual green issue — chained, ahem, to a tree.

In 2008, she revealed in an interview her plans to settle down and enjoy nature with her future family. “I’ve always wanted kids, so … someday … eventually, yes, it will happen,” the beauty revealed. “My ideal situation would be to live on a farm in a solar-powered house with a hammock and vegetable patch. When this is all over, that’s where I’ll be.”

For his part, Bloom is a strong supporter of Global Green USA — and has expressed a desire to have a sustainable home. In January 2007, he traveled with his photographer-cousin Sebastian Copeland to Antarctica to study firsthand the effects of climate change on the region.

We wish them both the best — and if they need some green wedding tips, MNN is more than happy to oblige.
