For the charity-minded musicians among us, fundraising while on tour has become a popular way to give back and inspire fans to follow suit. Jack Johnson did it last year on a 34-city tour across North America and now Kid Rock has announced a similar effort kicking off next month.

The 40-year-old has decided to have his fall tour focus on smaller venues, with an aim to donate proceeds to local charities and individuals in each market he plays. According to a release, the rocker has "assembled a team of Detroit titans to show support for other cities in need, and to show that Detroit, while experiencing it's own difficulties still has the power to unite to help others around the country."

Donations will be made through the Kid Rock Foundation, with local radio stations providing the insight into deserving orgs and/or individuals.

Rock says the inspiration to make a difference comes from the single "Care" off his 2010 album "Born Free".

"The song says 'the least that I can do is care' - and I want to put my money where my mouth is," he says. "Everyone knows that Detroit is hurting. But I want to show that even though we don't have a lot on our own plate, it doesn't mean the people of my hometown don't have compassion to share with others all over the country.  At the end of the day we're all Detroit, we're one country, one family."

The 15-show tour kicks off in Atlanta, Georgia on November 10th and concludes December 9th in Indio, California. Check out additional stops below - or visit Rock's official site for more
