If you needed any clearer indication that Nissan's all-electric Leaf is almost ready to drop, Lance Armstrong's tweet and accompanying photo yesterday should do it.

"My new Nissan Leaf here @LIVESTRONGHQ"

The Tour de France biking champion is the official spokesperson for the automaker's brand new green car -- and the first in America to take it home.

“I think the most exciting thing for me about the Leaf is that it’s the first of it’s kind," said Armstrong earlier in a promotional video for the car. "Anytime you talk about technology — if it’s a computer, or if it’s a phone, or if it’s a bicycle — you always talk about next level. Like, what’s next level? Next level is the stuff that just blows you away. To me, the Leaf was just really, in my opinion, what I would call next level.”

In the photo, Armstrong's car is shown in front of his LiveStrong charity headquarters sporting a black paint job and some trademark yellow bands around the wheels.

Nissan expects to start shipping out the more than 20,000 pre-orders for the LEAF sometime in the next three months. For more information, check out the official site for the car -- or watch Armstrong's commercial below.
