After watching the first trailer for Lifetime's "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever," you may find yourself with the same dour expressions on your face as its main furry character.

It's bad. Really bad. And I'm not exactly sure if that's keeping in the vein of the whole Internet meme that made Grumpy Cat (real name Tardar Sauce) a star or just the curse of Lifetime original movies. Either way, as the network has stated from beginning, this isn't about high expectations but mindless, silly entertainment.

"It brings fun and irreverence that we haven't had at Lifetime," Lifetime vice president of original movies Arturo Interian told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this year. "We're so known for our heartfelt sentimentality that it will poke fun at those stereotypes."

That, or it will destroy the holiday television special as we know it and make us all regret tuning in. Admittedly, this may have been Grumpy Cat's genius plan all along.

Look for "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever" to premiere November 29 on Lifetime.
