As the evacuations, frightening images, and warnings continue to grow in the path of Hurricane Sandy, people are turning to Twitter and Facebook to share their experiences, offer tips, and provide updates on the record-breaking storm.

Naturally, Hollywood celebrities are lighting up Twitter as well - with some offering more intelligent advice than others. Take for instance, this ridiculous tweet offered up by Lindsay Lohan to her more than 4.5 million followers last night.

"WHY is everyone in SUCH a panic about hurricane (i'm calling it Sally)..? Stop projecting negativity! Think positive and pray for peace."

Thanks, Lindsay. That should do it. Meanwhile, Larry King was waxing philosophically about Sandy's gender.

"Is #Sandy a boy or a girl?," he tweeted.

Alec Baldwin offered up a more serious question, wondering aloud about the stability of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station in New Jersey.

"How far inland is the Oyster Creek reactor in Tom's River, NJ?," he tweeted.

And on a lighter note, we can expect at least one comedy late night show to try and continue filming in New York City Monday evening.

"We will be doing a new show tomorrow night no matter what. #LateNight," tweeted comedian Jimmy Fallon. No word yet on if guest John Goodman will be joining Fallon for the taping.
