With Alec Baldwin as host, PETA celebrated 30 years of animal advocacy with a gala celebration at the Hollywood Palladium on Saturday night.
Honorees included Anjelica Huston, "Glee's" Lea Michele, Eva Mendes, "Twilight's" Kellan Lutz and Christian Serratos, Dave Navarro and "Inglourious Basterds' " Eli Roth plus presenters Joaquin Phoenix, Casey Affleck, Abbie Cornish, Pamela Anderson, Iggy Pop, and Jena Malone.
While chatting with Ecorazzi, Baldwin confirmed his meat-free diet and spoke out against the brutal fur industry. “You’ll never be able to make wearing fur illegal,” he said. “But anybody who is powerful and intellectual in the fashion industry who is encouraging the use of fur…I think that’s really, really disgraceful.”
So which celebrity would Baldwin like to see participate in PETA’s next “I’d Rather Go Naked” campaign?
He joked, “I think it would be wrong of me to suggest — Blake Lively — that anybody should take their clothes off — Blake Lively — and uh….”
And speaking of PETA's "clothing optional" campaign, "Glee" star Lea Michele once again reaffirmed that she should be willing to participate.
"I don't think we need to see a billboard of me naked to know I am anti-fur," she said. "But if they asked I would probably do it."
