In what should come as a surprise to absolutely no one, Budweiser's decision to pair one of its iconic Clydesdale horses with a Golden Retriever puppy for one of their Super Bowl commercials is getting lots of attention. How much? The ad has been online for less than 12 hours and already has more than 800,000 views on YouTube.

Titled "Puppy Love," the ad follows a young retriever who continues to escape from one farm to spend time with a particular Clydesdale at another. When he's finally adopted, the horses take matters into their own hands to bring the two back together. Further eroding efforts not to tear up is the song "Let Her Go" by Passenger that plays over the whole thing.

Not surprisingly, Budweiser is tapping into the success of last year's Super Bowl commercial "Brotherhood," which won USA Today’s annual Ad Meter survey of the most-effective Super Bowl commercials of 2013.
