Director Alejandro González Iñárrituhas released a full trailer for his highly-anticipated epic "The Revenant," and look out –– DiCaprio is a man on a mission.

The 40-year-old actor plays Hugh Glass, a frontiersman who back in the 19th century was mauled by a grizzly bear, robbed by his companions, and then left to die in the wild. As you'll see in the trailer, there's an added emotional twist to the revenge plot-line which, in all honesty, makes me angry at whoever decided to give it away. So yea, spoiler alert.

That cinematic faux pas aside, we're given an expanded glimpse of the sheer magnitude of production on this film. The cameras initially started rolling in October 2014, but because Iñárritu insisted on using natural light to film all scenes and no computer-generated imagery, the entire shoot ended up lasting until August 2015.

"If we ended up in greenscreen with coffee and everybody having a good time, everybody will be happy, but most likely the film would be a piece of s**t," Iñárritu told The Hollywood Reporter. "When you see the film, you will see the scale of it. And you will say, 'Wow.' "

"The Revenant" will hit theaters on December 25th.
