With its July 30th global premiere date just around the corner, "Sharknado 2" has finally given us a first taste of its big bite of the Big Apple.

Like the original, "Sharknado 2" will once again feature comeback stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid fighting back against a hurricane that strikes New York City and spawns tornadoes filled with hungry sharks. New additions to the cast include Kelly Osbourne, Andy Dick and veteran actor Judd Hirsch. There will also be a smattering of celebrity cameos, such as Al Roker and Matt Lauer.

"Sharknado was an extraordinary ‘perfect storm' which captured the attention of movie fans across the globe," Syfy's executive vice president Thomas Vitale said earlier this year. "You couldn't go anywhere without hearing about Sharknado! By reassembling the creative team—and dropping sharks onto New York's iconic sites—we're unleashing yet another ‘fin' wave of shark-mania."

The sequel is also proving to be good for actual sharks. A campaign started by the studio behind the film to get fans involved in a funding a bonus scene also ended up donating thousands to the RJ Dunlap Marine Conservation Program at the University of Miami.
