Sheryl Crow has partnered with the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) on a new television campaign urging people to lend a hand to animals in need.

The commercial features Crow talking about the HSUS's "Humane Hero" program — a tax-deductible monthly giving campaign ($19) that works to help abused and neglected animals.

“As a Humane Hero," Crow says, "you’ll stand with the Humane Society of the United States every month as they shut down puppy mills, save animals from natural and man-made emergencies, end the barbaric Canadian seal hunt, stop dogfighting and other forms of animal cruelty, and so much more.”

For the next three weeks, anyone who donates any amount to the organization will receive a free download of “Our Love is Fading”, the new single from Crow’s latest album "100 Miles From Memphis", which will be released on July 20.

Wayne Pacelle, president and CEO of the HSUS, commented on the singer's animal advocacy saying, “Sheryl Crow is a dedicated supporter of animal welfare, and the Humane Society of the United States is honored to have her join us in our efforts to end animal abuse. The HSUS has already been able to rescue nearly 10,000 animals in 2010 alone, and thanks to Sheryl and all our donors, we will be able to continue fighting animal cruelty on all fronts."
