At the MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift debuted the video for her latest single "Wildest Dreams," giving fans a love-turned-cold plot set against the gorgeous African wilderness.
That backdrop, along with some of the wild co-stars that appear, apparently made an impression. At the end of the video, a message appears stating that all proceeds from the piece "will be donated to wild conservation efforts through the African Parks Foundation of America."
The African Parks Foundation, which is supported by affiliate organizations in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and the U.S., focuses on rehabilitation, long-term management, and conservation of five major parks throughout Africa. Initiatives include anti-poaching rangers, habitat conservation, and engaging local communities to protect and preserve regional wildlife for tourism.
As you might expect, especially in light of Cecil the lion's tragic death, Swift's decision to help this organization was met with applause from fans.
Any money T. Swift makes from her Wildest Dreams music video is being donated to the wild animal conservation. Ugh she has a heart of gold💖— samantha ♡ (@samanthap__) September 1, 2015
