When asked to describe the trajectory of Season 4 of "The Walking Dead," everyone connected with the hit AMC series over the past few months has said basically the same thing: more zombies. As this exclusive four-minute trailer, shown this evening (July 19) at Comic-Con in San Diego proves, they weren't kidding.
As a disclaimer, if you don't want anything spoiled going into the new season, it's likely best to avoid this sneak peek. I'd wager at least one character's death is implied (if you can figure out how someone might escape that zombie crowd, lemme know...), and there's definitely some nasty happenings inside the prison.
"Step outside, you risk your life. Take a drink of water, you risk your life," Hershel tells his fellow survivors in the trailer. "You don't have a choice: the only thing you can choose is what you're risking it for."
On the plus side, it looks like Rick and Co. manage to turn the prison into an eco-village. Naturally, that doesn't last long either.
Check out the trailer below. "The Walking Dead" returns Oct. 13 on AMC.
