If the recent re-release of "Jurassic Park" in theaters whet your appetite for more dinos on the big screen, perhaps 20th Century Fox's "Walking with Dinosaurs 3D" will provide some bite.

The new computer animated film, set for release in early December, appears to offer a mix of documentary and storyline — similar in formula to Disneynature's successful hits "African Lions" and "Chimpanzee." Thankfully, none of the dinos featured are of the talking variety (Pixar's "The Good Dinosaur" aims to provide that element in 2014), but there's definitely plenty of human-like emotion on display. Here's the synopsis:

"For the first time in movie history, audiences will truly see and feel what it was like when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. 'Walking with Dinosaurs' is the ultimate immersive experience, utilizing state-of-the-art 3D to put audiences in the middle of a thrilling and epic prehistoric world, where an underdog dino triumphs to become a hero for the ages."
While I'm not a fan of 3-D in theaters, I could see this being a fun one to experience with the format. At the very least, it will give families with passionate dinosaur addicts (my son included) an enjoyable evening at the movies. Check out the first, dramatically narrated trailer below.
