From flower beards to ramen beards, the possibilities of facial hair styling has few limits so long as there is enough imagination (and hair spray) to back it up.
Photographer Stephanie Jarstad proves this yet again with her hilarious "Twelve Beards of Christmas" project — a series of comical portraits of bearded men festooned with glittery baubles, Christmas lights and fresh winter greenery.
Jarstad came up with the idea while brainstorming creative ways to support Movember, an annual event in which people grow out their facial hair during the month of November to raise awareness of prostate cancer and other men's health issues.
"Rather than just photographing bearded men, I wanted to do something quirky and fun," Jarstad writes on her blog. "Please enjoy this holly jolly compilation of Christmas beards [and] some outtakes."
Poster prints and greeting cards featuring these festive hairy mugs are available for purchase on Jarstad's Etsy.
Of course, this isn't the only time Jarstad has focused her portrait lens on bearded men. If your love for funky facial hair extends beyond "Movember" and "Decembeard," you'll be excited to learn that Jarstad's Etsy also sells "A Beard for All Seasons" wall calendar, in which each months features a different beard decorated with a different holiday or season in mind.
